작가노트

사람들이 각자의 생각과 기억을 노트에 적는 것처럼, 본인은 펜으로 기록하고 싶은 장면들을 적어 내듯 그려내고자한다.

흔하게 지나치는 일상에서도, 흔하지 않게 경험하는 장소에서도 기억하고 남기고 싶은 것들이 무 수히 많이 존재한다. 항상 보던 길의 풍경임에도 불구하고, 어느 날은 유독 새로운 감정을 불러일 으키며 그 풍경 속에 동화된 것처럼 빠져들기도 하고, 몇 년 동안 사용했던 물건일 뿐인데도 문득 시선을 이끌며 주목하게 된다. 구체적인 장소, 사물, 사람뿐만 아니라 이를 넘어 머릿속 안에서도 갑자기 떠오르는 추상적인 생각들까지, 본인은 이러한 모든 것들을 기록하고자 한다. 본인에게 작 품을 구상하고 표현하는 모든 프로세스는 본인의 삶에 대한 기록일지 같은 것이다. 작가가 남기고 자 하는 어느날의 감정과 느낌들을 본인만의 표현기법을 통해 나타내고 있으며, 앞서 말했듯 모든 작업은 본인의 마음을 사로잡는 모든 것들의 기록임으로 작품의 소재나 대상은 한정되지 않는다.

작가가 빠져들었던 순간순간들에 맞춰 다양한 방향으로 작가만의 세계를 표현하며, 대중들을 그 세계 안으로 초대하고자 한다.

Artist statement

Just as people write down their thoughts and memories in their notebooks, I’m drawing down scenes that I want to write down with a pen.

There are countless things that I want to capture not only in my daily lives but places where I’m not familiar with. Although it’s an ordinary landscape I see everyday, sometimes it gives me a new inspiration and I get assimilated into that beauty of landscape. Also, It makes me pay attention although which is something I've been using for a long time. I want to record all of these things such as specific places, things, people, as well as abstract ideas that suddenly come to mind. Every process of designing and expressing the artwork to me is like a record of my life. So I want to express those emotional moments with my own expressive drawing technique, and It's a record of what captures my eyes, therefore subject is not limited to certain thing.I express my own world using various ways in view of the moment’s atmosphere when I felt in the situation, and I would like to invite the public into the my world.
